Time spent on trying to sort out a problem by intuition, along with that spent locating spares and special tools without a detailed parts list, can prove very expensive for your customer, especially if the equipment in question is vital to the operation of a larger plant or system. Therefore many organisations simply will not purchase equipment which is not backed up by comprehensive user documentation, no matter how good the equipment is!
As well as facilitating prompt fault finding and repair, well constructed user documentation can help prevent problems from arising in the first place by ensuring that the equipment is correctly installed and maintained.
PDP Operating and Maintenance Manuals
PDP produce comprehensive Operating and Maintenance manuals in hardcopy and electronic formats which are tailored to the customer's specific requirements.
In producing Operating and Maintenance manuals we will normally :-
- Carry out visits to site to investigate, interview and gather information, take photographs and discuss requirements for the project.
- Provide regular progress reports to keep you informed.
- Obtain and print out "As Built" drawings from sub-contractors.
- Obtain of Certificates or Conformance, Test Certificates and Electrical Installation Certificates from sub-contractors and equipment manufacturers.
- Obtain relevant Operating and Maintenance manuals for third party plant and equipment.
- Produce drafts to your specification or a specification which we develop for you.
- Provide "First Issue" documentation in paper or electronic format for distribution.
Document Formats
We can produce manuals in Word and PDF as standard, however we can work to other formats to suit your requirements. Manuals can also be supplied as hyperlinked documents on CD ROM.Alternative Languages
